I drop the poof and cup my breasts. The soap and water making it easy for my hands to caress and pinch my nipples. Making that electricity shoot from my nipples straight to my core. I slowly run my one hand down my front, while the other is still caressing my breast. I run my fingers over the outside of my folds. As I bring my fingers back they tease my clit. I moan softly, letting my fingers get to work on my clit. Running them back and forth quickly, and then teasing the outside of my entrance. I can feel that I’m close, there isn’t anything but my release on my mind. I crave this more than anything right now. I feel the tingling start to get more intense as my fingers quickly work my clit back and forth. Just as I feel my toes start to curl, there is a loud banging on the door. And a very manly voice yelling.

“ANNIE! Come on, we’re going to be late!” Mother. Fucker. I’m going to kill this guy in cold blood.

“I’M COMING!” Panting, trying to come back down from my almost release.

“I’m sure you were about to.” I hear through the door. He heard me?

I don’t have a reply for that, so I wash my hair fast and get out. I’m so mortified that he heard me. I make quick work of my clothes, and throw my hair up into a messy pony tail. Opening the door, I see Jayden leaning against the door frame, arms crossed, grinning. My face is on fire. Damnit. He did hear me.

Rushing past him, I hear him chuckle. We are so not talking about this. We need to just be on our way to where ever it is that we’re going.

“Did I interrupt something in there?” There’s more laughter in his voice.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Feigning innocence.

“Uh huh. I’m sure, so what were you moaning about in there? Are you in pain? Does your back need rubbed? Because I can help you with that, you know?” He has this look of mischief on his face.

“Look, buddy. It’s not like you’ve never jacked off before. So let’s just forget that you heard it and move on.” I hiss at him.

“I’m just giving you a hard time, sweetheart. Although, the offer stands. I’m always game for helping you massage whatever you need.” His eyes are sparkling. I’m not allowed to look at him the rest of the day!

“Whatever, let’s just go. Where are we heading?” I ask as we walk out of the house and towards his Jeep. I’m not so sure if I trust him not to do something stupid. This is why I hate surprises.

“We’re going to base, make sure you have your driver’s license with you.” He replies.

“What do I need to go with you for?” I’m so confused right now.

“I’m taking you to the range, I’m having Jonah meet us there. He went and bought you a gun the other day. We’re going to teach you how to shoot.”

Um, excuse me? What the hell did he just say?

“You’re teaching me how to shoot? Are you fucking crazy? I don’t need a gun!” Blurting all of that out of my mouth. I don’t want a gun.

“After what happened, and for mine and Jonah’s peace of mind, you’re going to learn how to shoot a gun. We need you to be able to protect yourself and Josh if you ever have to.” He tells me calmly. Why is he so calm about this? I think he’s fucking crazy for wanting to put a gun in my hand and teach me how to shoot it.

“Just remember that Jonah and I have taken extensive courses on weapons. We would never steer you wrong, Sweetheart.”

“Okay, I get it. I don’t like it. But I understand. Jesus, I’m going to shoot a gun.” I mumble to myself. I understand why he wants to teach me. Jonah and he can’t always be there to protect me if something happens. But damnit, why can’t he buy me some mace or something? With that, he starts the Jeep and pulls out of my driveway. Ready or not, here I go I guess.

  Jayden

I cannot believe I caught Annie masturbating, which totally made my day. I’m going to have a permanent smile on my face for the rest of the day. She turned the radio up as soon as we pulled out of the driveway, she’s been singing every song on the radio. I love that she is so real, she doesn’t try to hide who she is from anyone.

The drive from her house to base isn’t a long drive, but to get to where we need to be on base takes a little bit. Jonah is already here and waiting, I had him go buy a gun the other day for her. I knew exactly what I wanted her to have. A Sig Sauer p938. It’s a compact 9mm, small but still has enough stopping power.

We make it to the shooting range on base, and I pull to a stop. She’s been taking in everything as were driving. Not asking any questions, just looking around with interest.

“Was anyone in your family in the military?” I ask her.

“No, my parents were just your regular executive types. And I had no other family around. Where I lived at in Ohio, there was no military bases nearby.” Her focus isn’t on me at all, she’s starting to get out of the Jeep but I stop her with my hand on her arm.

“I know for a fact that Jonah never lets you get out of the car until he opens the door for you. The same goes for me, sweetheart. I don’t want you getting out of this car unless I’m opening the door.” I try to make it sound like a request, I don’t want to freak her out by ordering her around. I’m pretty sure she would tell me to fuck off if I ever tell her to do something.

I slide out and shut the door, making sure I have my keys in my pocket. For some reason, I tend to lock keys in cars. A lot. As I walk around the car I notice a bunch of guys at the shooting range. They’re ones I’ve never seen before, so they must be new on base. Let’s see if my girl can out shoot these newbies. I reach her door and open it for her. She’s giving me a bored look.

I shake my head at her, “Alright, Princess, get out.”

“Whatever, pretty boy.” She scoots out of the Jeep. She looks so cute trying to waddle around. She has on a pair of shorts and a loose tank top. I’m learning that she always look sexy in whatever she may be wearing.

“Let’s go over here. Jonah should be waiting out here for us.”

She smiles a big smile. “I’m excited to see Jonah.”

“What, you’re not thrilled to be spending your days with me?” I give her a look of hurt.

“Shut up. He’s been here for me since the beginning. You weren’t all that nice to me when we first started talking so excuse me. Your brother is nice to me, and not once as he ever yelled at me like you do.”

“What are you talking about woman? I’ve never yelled at you!”

“What do you think you’re doing right now?” She cocks her hip out and puts a hand on it.

“I’m a Marine, sweetheart. We’re all bossy and cocky. It comes with the territory.” I’m so amused with this conversation. If she thinks this is yelling, she’s going to enjoy being on base.

“Jonah has never acted that way with me.” Another cocky look from her, that makes her look more adorable. It’s going to be hard to be mad at her, I can already tell.

“That’s because my baby brother doesn’t want in your pants like I do.”

“Oh my God! Let’s just get this shit over with so I can go back home. It’s hot out already. And I need to eat lunch soon, or have you forgotten that I’m pregnant?” Lord help us all, this girl has an attitude and I’m about to hand her a loaded gun. What the fuck is wrong with me?

“Alright, alright. Let’s go. I think I see Jonah over there.” I point her in the direction I want her to walk, so I can walk behind her. What? I’m a guy. She still has a nice ass, she hasn’t gained much weight. It seems to be staying all in her belly.

We make it, after a lot of waddling, over to Jonah. All the guys we passed are just staring at us. I give them all glares. Jonah is already showing Annie her new weapon. She’s looking at it like it’s a scorpion that’s going to attack her at any moment.

“C’mon, sweetheart. Watch me shoot a few rounds and then you can try.”

Jonah holds it out to me, as I walk past him to get to the spot that’s unoccupied. I look at the target, and widen my stance a little. I hold my arms up, aim down the sight, and take a deep br
eath. I pull the trigger and empty the magazine into my target.

Taking the magazine out to reload, I turn around and walk back over to them. Making sure Annie has her ear muffs and safety glasses on, I take her over to the spot I was just at. I line her up with the target. I make sure she’s standing right and her weight is shifted forward, not back. I show her where everything is on the gun, and instruct her on how to hold it. I put the magazine in and let her at it. After the first round leaves the chamber she about jumps out of her skin. But after that, she gets the hang of it. Surprisingly, she’s a good shot. That should keep me in check.

  Annie

It’s been almost a month since Jayden went back to work. Brandy has started hanging out with me a little bit more now. I think she was afraid to come over after the attack, I don’t think she knew what to say or do around me. I don’t blame her though, I don’t know what I would have done if I were in her shoes.

I’m heading out to a doctor’s appointment this morning. I’m thirty-two weeks today, it’s getting closer to my due date. Baby seems to be doing just fine every time we go. He’s growing right on schedule, which is a good thing. I’m not sure how I would push a ten pound baby out of my hoohoo.

I haven’t been having nightmares as much, Jayden is still staying with me at my house. I’m not sure when it happened, but things have shifted for us. After that day out on the range, he’s been more affectionate towards me. Always doing little things for me, and remembers every little detail I tell him. I didn’t think these type of guys existed anymore.

Nothing has happened between us yet, except kissing. I feel like he can find any reason to give me a kiss. Not that I mind, because have I mentioned his lips? Like this morning he told me he expects a text as soon as I’m done with the appointment. Really, dude? It’s just a checkup, everything will be fine.

I’m walking into the office when my phone goes off with a text.

  Jayden: Don’t forget. Details, woman.

Me: Seriously? I haven’t forgotten. Chill out.

  Jayden: I’ll chill when he’s 18.

Our poor child. He’s going to have one overprotective daddy. I shove my phone back into my purse and walk inside. It isn’t long before I’m called back in the exam room, and like I expected everything is still fine with baby. I make another appointment and I’m on my way out.

I decide to call Brandy to see if she’s up for lunch before I get home. Dialing her, she answers on the third ring. I tell her my plans, and she accepts. Tells me she’ll meet me there in twenty minutes. She never turns down a chance to go to our favorite diner. And I never turn down food. So we’re perfect company for each other today.

I’m sitting at a table waiting on Brandy’s slow ass, when I finally see her pull up. And she’s not alone. She has some burly looking guy with her. He’s huge compared to her. I wonder who the hell this is.

“Hey, chica! How are you feeling? How’s baby doing?” She comes to my side of the table and hugs me. It’s been too long since I’ve seen her.

“Baby is fine, growing like a weed. And becoming more like a karate student every day,” I chuckle and run a hand over my belly. “I’m feeling fine, mostly just tired more lately.”

I make an obvious glance over to the guy who took up residence across from me at the table.

“OH! Annie, this is Shawn Richardson. Shawn, this is Annie Reynolds.” Sometimes her bad manners get the best of her.

I stick my hand out, “It’s so nice to meet you.”

He shakes my hand, but I get a grunt in response. Uh, alrighty then.

“Shawn was deployed with Jayden.” Brandy says, filling in the gaps for me.

“Oh, okay. I’m so glad you guys came home safe.” I tell him.

Another grunt, and head nod. Well, I’m done talking to him then.

Brandy and I get caught up on all of our girly gossip. She always asks me how Jayden is treating me when we talk. It’s always the same answer, he is always just plain amazing. He’s everything that I’ve ever wanted in a boyfriend. But, we’re not even “dating”. We’re just living together in some sort of unusual arrangement. Not that I don’t mind seeing him walking around half naked whenever he’s home. Because that’s definitely a perk.

After an hour of sitting and talking with Brandy, we both decide that we should head out. I have more errands to run before I go back home. I’m assuming she has someone to do. I have a huge grin on my face after that thought, and Brandy gives me a funny look. I shake my head, as if to say “nope, don’t even ask”. We say our goodbyes, and then we’re on our separate ways.

I’m going shopping for baby. Everyone has been picking up clothes for him, but I haven’t really done much shopping. I’m just now to a point where I can walk around for a while. Driving to the mall, I notice every small detail about the neighborhoods I’m driving through. All the kids, all the different styles of houses, just everything. This really is a beautiful city, and a great place to have a family.

Once I’m at the mall, I start towards The Children’s Place. I’ve looked online at their clothes and they’re all so damn cute! There is an Old Navy and Kohl’s here too. I plan on putting my credit card to good use today.

Three hours later, I’ve spent close to three-hundred dollars. Damn, but baby stuff is expensive. I even found an onesie I’m going to wrap up and have Jayden open later. It’s green and has dog tags on it. Saying “Daddy’s Little Soldier”. How could I not buy that?

Even the sales lady said it was the cutest thing she’s ever seen. I pile all of my bags in the back of my SUV, and get in to drive home. I pull my phone out of my purse to check it before I start the drive home. I have a couple messages from Jayden, telling me that he’s bringing pizza home for dinner. And telling me that he can’t wait to come home and see me. He makes sure to text me that at least once a day.

But, I also have a text from an unknown number. I stare at the number for a second before I open up the text.

Unknown: He isn’t yours, just because you’re having a baby with him doesn’t mean he wants you.

Yeah, okay. So I’ll just delete that. These stupid women who hang around base trying to trap all the Marines they can. I wasn’t raised like that, and I will never try to trap Jayden into anything he doesn’t want.

Putting the text out of my mind, I start the car and head home.

We’re having a Halloween party this weekend, so we’ve been trying to clean up the house. Buy all the food and decorations. I’ve tried to ask people what they want to eat, but they’ve all learned that they just need to let me choose. I never want what anyone else wants.

Jayden has been working long nights lately, something about training a bunch of new soldiers that just shipped to this base. But Jonah has been coming over to keep me company. The trouble that he and I can get into is so fun. We have movie nights, go out to eat, and just plain go out and drive people crazy. That boy is the brother I never had. He is exactly who I would’ve wanted protecting me growing up.

It would have been nice to have someone to lean on when my parents died. It’s not that I would want another person to go through it, but to have someone who understands? That’s so priceless.

Things with Jayden have been weird lately. With him working later and later he’s been staying at base, instead of coming home. He was coming home when I was already in bed, and then sneaking out without me knowing in the morning. Basically, I’m not seeing him a whole lot. He still texts me daily, but that’s not the same. He’s become a fixture in my house.

My nightmares have stopped altogether, and it seems that was when Jayden started coming home less and less. We found out that I didn’t have to testify, they matched his DNA from the rape kit and was offered a plea deal. Ten years in prison without the chance of parole. Or he could go on trial and possibly get longer. He took the cowards way out, not that I wanted to testify and all that but still. His ass should be rotting in that prison, hell his ass should be getting raped for what he did t
o me. I would gladly pay to see that shit. Pop some popcorn and kick back and enjoy the show. God, that would be justice right there.

Since it’s the weekend, though, Jayden is here. And he’s being his ever so helpful self. Darting around the house cleaning the last little bit and throwing up the decorations. And I’m sitting at the kitchen table doing some pre-party snacking. I can’t let all of this food just chill in here, all lonely. Needing someone to pay attention to it.

Everyone should be getting here soon. Jayden invited some of his buddies from base, and I know Brandy is bringing Shawn. I’m not sure what she sees in him, but as long as she’s happy and he’s treating her well, I could care less. Megan and Alyssa already had plans, so they won’t be here tonight. The only people I’ll know is Jayden, Brandy, Jonah, and Shawn.

“Hey, sweetheart, do you need me to do anything else?” Jayden asks just as I shove a handful of M&Ms into my mouth. So I start to chew fast. Then he starts laughing.

“Jesus, Annie. You don’t need to choke yourself just to answer me.” That twinkle in his eye gets me every time.

“You’re an ass. No, everything is done. The pizza and wings should be here any minute. And everything else is already set out. We just need people here to eat it all.” Another handful into my mouth. He laughs, shakes his head and turns around to go to the living room. I hear his phone chirp with a text message. Reaching for his phone, I about fall out of my chair just because my lazy ass couldn’t be bothered to stand up and walk to it.

I look at the name, it’s not one I recognize. And to top it off it’s a girl’s name. Brooke Winfield. Who the hell is this? Interest piqued, I open the text.

Brooke: Hey, how long will you be at this party?
